3.3.6 Camera Startup Sequence
As soon as the power supply is established, the camera's LEDs will provide informati-
on on the startup sequence of the camera.
• Booting: Immediately after connecting the power supply, the red LED lights
up, blinks for two seconds, then stays on permanently. The camera's boot
loader checks the hardware, unpacks and starts the operating system. All ap-
plications are verified using the checksums; in case of an error, the camera will
start using the backup operating system.
• Waiting for key pressed: Both LEDs light up for four seconds. If you press the
"R" or "L" key of the camera during this time, the camera will execute the
corresponding function (see sections 3.5 and 3.6).
• Ready: Once the application software has been started, the green LED is on
permanently and the red LED blinks. You can now reach the camera via the net-
work using a browser. For additional information on this topic, see section

Note
During the startup sequence or a software reboot, the LEDs will always
light up, even if they have been deactivated in Admin Menu > LED
Setup.
Note
If you are using Power over Ethernet components (IEEE 802.3af) for
supplying power to the MOBOTIX M22M, these components have to
provide PoE class 0 (12.95Watts max. power consumption of attached
device). Although the M22M only uses 3Watts and does not require
heating even at very low temperatures, this will ensure that devices
attached to the USB port of the camera will be properly supplied.
